How We Work For You

Coordinating Care and Identifying Losses

Initial Medical Evaluation:
  • Identify pre-MVA medical, psychiatric, and psychosocial factors to understand the individual’s baseline health and well-being.
  • Assess social, recreational, educational, and vocational aspects to gauge the individual’s lifestyle and daily activities.
  • Evaluate the individual’s functional status and any pre-existing conditions that may impact their recovery post-accident.
  • Conduct a thorough review of medical records and history to gather comprehensive information for effective case management.
Case Management Process:
  • Collaborate with the individual’s healthcare team to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan tailored to their specific needs.
  • Monitor the individual’s progress and adjust the care plan as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support and education to the individual and their family to help them navigate the complexities of the healthcare system.
  • Coordinate appointments, treatments, and other services to streamline care and minimize disruptions to the individual’s life.
  • Advocate for the individual’s rights and ensure they receive the best possible care and support throughout their recovery journey.
Treatment, DISCHArGE & Resources:
  • Evaluate the individual’s progress and readiness for discharge from case management.
  • Ensure that all necessary services and supports are in place for the individual’s continued well-being post-discharge.
  • Provide education and resources to help the individual and their family transition smoothly from intensive case management to a more independent care routine.
  • Coordinate with community resources and support services to ensure ongoing access to care and support.
  • Follow up with the individual periodically to monitor their progress and address any emerging needs or challenges.
Communication with Insurance Adjusters:
  • Maintain regular and open communication with insurance adjusters to keep them informed of the individual’s progress and care needs.
  • Provide detailed and accurate documentation of all treatments, services, and costs associated with the individual’s care.
  • Offer to arrange tours of recommended programs or facilities to help insurance adjusters better understand the individual’s care plan and needs.
  • Educate insurance adjusters about the role of a Catastrophic Case Manager and the importance of the recommended treatments and services.
  • Notify insurance adjusters of any services that require payment, including specialty treatments or appointments that may require objective data to substantiate their accident-relatedness.
