Breann’s academic journey led her to North Carolina A&T State University on a volleyball scholarship. After three impactful years, she returned home to Michigan and completed her bachelor’s degree at Oakland University, where she double-majored in Social Work and Journalism.

Soon after graduation, a pivotal call from her mother, Karri, changed the course of her career. Together, they embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure, founding The Karring Group. From that moment, they hit the ground running and never looked back.

Breann is a proud mother to two daughters: 14-year-old Cydnee and 1-year-old Kinslee. They call Royal Oak home, and their household is enriched by the presence of beloved huskies, Mollee and Loso, as well as the newest addition to their furry family, Chandler. Breann’s joy extends beyond her professional life—she enjoys playing with her girls, and watching Cydnee excel in volleyball and coaching.

When she’s not shaping the future of case management, Breann finds joy in good TV series, audiobooks, and cherished family vacations. Her career path may have taken an unexpected turn into case management, but it’s a role she wholeheartedly embraces. Building deep relationships with her clients, offering them comfort and stability during vulnerable times, and witnessing their remarkable progress back to their normal selves bring her a sense of fulfillment that words can’t fully capture. She genuinely loves what she does and the mission of their company, embodying a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those they serve.

After high school, Kimberly joined the Red Cross and trained to become a certified nursing assistant. She dedicated several years to in-home care, offering crucial support to those in need. Later, she paused her career to raise her 3 children.

Kimberly’s professional journey continued as she became a Patient Care Technician, earning certifications in Phlebotomy, Dialysis, EKG, and Mental Health. Her expertise shone on a Medical-Surgical floor before she joined The Karring Group team.

Beyond her professional life, Kimberly finds immense joy in being a mother to her three children. Family moments are cherished through travel, camping, hiking, and fishing.

Kimberly’s dedication to providing the best possible care to clients and their families is unwavering. She plays a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their path to recovery, embodying a commitment to excellence that defines The Karring Group’s mission.

In her current capacity, Sheri handles all invoicing and collections, ensuring the company remains compliant with its insurances. She takes pride in working for a compassionate company like The Karring Group, which prioritizes assisting individuals on their journey to recovery. The company’s dedication to its clients deeply resonates with Sheri, and she feels fortunate to be part of this mission.

Sheri and her husband Tim have been happily married since 1993 and share the joys of parenthood with three wonderful children: Elijah, Justin, who is married to Kenzie, and Sophia. Their family has also grown with the addition of two grandsons, Greyson and Tatum, and a granddaughter, Everly, Justin and Kenzie’s children.

In their leisure time, Sheri and Tim often find themselves cheering for their daughter as she participates in barrel racing with her horse, Bonds McDreamy, at various arenas across Michigan and Ohio. When not at a barrel race, they enjoy relaxing at home around a bonfire, spending time at the beach, kayaking, or delighting in precious moments with their grandbabies.

Her journey with The Karring Group began in October of 2017, and she enthusiastically declares her love for her job. Ebony is deeply appreciative of the company’s unwavering dedication to providing exceptional care to their clients.

​In her personal life, Ebony shares her world with a wonderful husband, whom she married in August 2015, two beautiful children with whom she cherishes spending time, and a furry companion named Blaze. She finds solace in gardening and treasures moments filled with good laughs shared with family and friends.

Tracie Giacona is a Case Manager with The Karring Group who brings more than a decade of healthcare experience and a compassionate, client-centered approach to every individual and family she serves. Her career began in hospice care, where she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of empathy, communication, and supporting people through life’s most challenging moments.

After successfully serving as Director of Intakes, Tracie advanced into the role of Case Manager, bringing with her a unique understanding of the client experience from the very first phone call through the recovery journey. Today, she works closely with clients, families, healthcare providers, and attorneys to coordinate care, provide guidance, and advocate for the best possible outcomes. Her ability to build trusting relationships and offer reassurance during difficult times has made her a valued resource for the clients and families she serves.

Originally from South Florida, Tracie moved to Michigan with her family, where she completed her education and began her career in healthcare. She enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children—two energetic boys and their daughter, Stella Rose. Whether she’s cheering from the sidelines at soccer games, attending school activities, scrapbooking, or capturing special moments through photography, Tracie treasures every opportunity to make lasting memories with her family.

She later transitioned to Abbott Laboratories’ Hospital Division, where she spent 32 years excelling as an account manager, selling hospital equipment and injectable drugs. Through mergers and acquisitions, she continued her remarkable career journey, eventually finding her passion as a case manager with The Karring Group since mid-2016. Denise finds fulfillment in leveraging her medical background to interact with clients and support their needs.

​Outside of work, Denise leads an active lifestyle, indulging her passion for skiing every weekend for pleasure. While no longer a member of the National Ski Patrol, she continues to enjoy hitting the slopes and relishing the thrill of the downhill runs. She also cherishes time spent boating and enjoying summer activities at Torch and 8 Points Lakes with her husband, children, their spouses, and their six beloved grandchildren. Their Saginaw, MI, home is filled with love, laughter, and cherished family moments, reflecting Denise’s dedication to both her professional and personal life.

With determination, she returned to school and graduated Cum Laude from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Throughout her career, Kathryn has gained valuable experience in various healthcare settings. She honed her skills at St. John Hospital’s main campus, specializing in the orthopedic/neurosurgical unit, where she developed a profound understanding of the orthopedic field. Additionally, Kathryn served as a case manager for a home care company, providing compassionate in-home care to patients to enhance their well-being.

Now, as part of The Karring Group, Kathryn is enthusiastic about leveraging her expertise to support individuals on their journey to recovery. Her dedication to patient care and commitment to excellence make her a valuable asset to the team, and she looks forward to making a positive difference in the lives of those she serves.

Originally from Ohio, Shannon made Michigan her home in July 2017. Despite her busy schedule, she prioritizes her two daughters’ sports and school activities, actively supporting and engaging in their endeavors. Shannon, her husband, and her daughters enjoy fishing, collecting rocks from their Great Lakes visits, and hiking together.

 In her leisure time, Shannon finds solace in outdoor activities like gardening, reading in the hammock, and long walks. She also has a passion for travel, especially when it involves attending concerts and exploring new destinations. Shannon’s vibrant spirit, dedication to her family, and commitment to providing exceptional care make her an invaluable asset to The Karring Group team.

Throughout her career, Tina has honed her skills and expertise by working in various healthcare settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Schools, and Traumatic Brain Injury clinics. Despite the challenges, her dedication to her work has only strengthened over the years.

 As a Case Manager, Tina is committed to advocating for the well-being of our clients and providing the highest quality of care to facilitate the recovery process. Beyond her professional endeavors, Tina finds joy in spending time with her family, embracing outdoor activities like jogging and boating, and nurturing her passion for continuous learning. Her unwavering dedication, compassionate nature, and lifelong commitment to serving others make her an invaluable member of The Karring Group team.

As a Case Manager, Brooke collaborates closely with primary Case Managers and Case Coordinators, facilitating therapy appointments, coordinating durable medical equipment orders, attending therapy and orthotic/prosthetic appointments, and ensuring clients’ homes are prepared for their return. She finds immense fulfillment in being part of The Karring Group’s motivated, dedicated, and compassionate team.

 Outside of work, Brooke treasures spending quality time with her family and embarking on new adventures. Whether it’s exploring new places or enjoying outdoor activities like snowboarding in the winter and visiting Michigan’s lakes in the warmer months, Brooke embraces life’s experiences with enthusiasm and zest. Her dedication to her profession and her adventurous spirit make her a valuable asset to The Karring Group team.

After earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, Dorothy continued her work in the medical field. Dorothy has also embarked on a new educational endeavor, delving into the world of Psychology at Baker College, with a focus on adolescent behavior analysis, deepening her understanding of human behavior.

​Dorothy’s passion extends beyond her academic pursuits. She holds a deep connection to her spirituality and cherishes her family. In 2019, she married her soulmate, James, and together, they are proud parents to four beautiful daughters and a son, with the joy of three perfect grandchildren gracing their lives.

In her precious spare moments, Dorothy has ventured into entrepreneurship with her own small business, “DS Creations.” Her creative spirit finds expression in crafting custom pieces, including jewelry for women, men, and children, painted drinking glasses, corsages, and boutonnieres. Beyond her creative pursuits, Dorothy relishes spending quality time with friends and family, further enriching her life with cherished moments.

Leneja Davis is a Detroit native with a passion for helping others and making a positive impact in her community. She earned her degree from Wayne County Community College and has built her career around supporting individuals and families through service-oriented roles.

Prior to joining The Karring Group, Leneja spent several years working in early childhood education, where she developed strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills while supporting children and their families. Her dedication to helping others inspired her transition into healthcare, where she continues to support clients and families through compassionate service and meaningful connections.

As a Care Coordinator with The Karring Group, Leneja is committed to ensuring clients receive the support, resources, and guidance they need throughout their recovery journey. Her caring nature, attention to detail, and passion for helping others make her a valued member of the team.

Outside of work, Leneja enjoys spending time with her two sons, pursuing personal and professional growth, and building meaningful connections within her community. Her dedication to helping others extends beyond her career and reflects her commitment to making a positive impact wherever she goes.

Sergio Hernandez, LLMSW, is a dedicated Case Manager with The Karring Group, bringing over five years of experience serving children, families, and individuals across diverse communities. A graduate of the University of Michigan’s Advanced Standing Master of Social Work Program in 2022, Sergio has completed extensive training in human behavior, social environments, family dynamics, policy, ethics, and case management.

Throughout his career, Sergio has worked in a variety of settings, including correctional facilities, schools, local shelters, and underserved communities. He is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate difficult situations, connect with resources, and build a path toward stability and success. As a bilingual professional, Sergio is proud to provide case management services to The Karring Group’s Spanish-speaking clients, helping ensure they receive the support and advocacy they deserve.

Growing up in the Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor area, Sergio developed an appreciation for diverse cultures, which sparked his love of trying foods from different countries. His curiosity and eagerness to learn new things also contribute to his enjoyment of museums and documentaries. Sergio’s favorite holiday is Halloween, and he loves taking his children trick-or-treating each year. He is also a longtime fan of horror movies. Looking ahead, two destinations at the top of his travel bucket list are Salem, Massachusetts, and Japan.

Stephanie Brabson is an Intake Specialist at The Karring Group, bringing more than 20 years of experience in customer service, client relations, and administrative support. She is passionate about helping others and is committed to ensuring every client, family, healthcare provider, and referral source is met with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional service.

As the first point of contact for many clients, Stephanie plays an important role in coordinating the intake and referral process. She works closely with attorneys, medical professionals, and families to gather information, facilitate communication, and help connect clients with the appropriate case management services. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to excellence help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from the very beginning.

Stephanie’s diverse professional background has allowed her to build meaningful relationships while developing exceptional communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. She takes pride in helping individuals and families navigate challenging situations with confidence, compassion, and personalized support.

Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, April Cope has dedicated the past 16 years of her life to nursing—a career that has taken her through a variety of specialties and settings, each shaping her into the compassionate and experienced caregiver she is today.

As a Nurse Case Manager with The Karring Group, April draws on a diverse healthcare background that includes geriatric care, post-surgical rehabilitation, hospice, psychiatric nursing, and caring for cognitively impaired patients. She has also served as a Clinical Nurse Manager, leading teams dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. As a traveling immunization nurse, April played an important role in protecting communities through preventive healthcare and public health initiatives.

Outside of work, April enjoys staying active through roller skating and working out, activities that help keep her grounded and energized. Her passion for caring for others extends far beyond her profession—it is at the heart of who she is and continues to inspire the compassionate care she provides every day.

Sonia Sumner, LPN, is a Case Manager with The Karring Group who brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to her role. She began her nursing career in 2002 in Long Term Care, where she proudly served the same organization for more than 18 years before relocating from her hometown of Port Huron to Shelby Township, Michigan.

Throughout the past 14 years, Sonia has specialized in discharge planning and case management, helping clients and their families navigate complex healthcare needs with compassion, transparency, and integrity. Her experience also includes serving as a Director of Nursing at an Assisted Living Facility and as a COVID Unit Nurse Manager, roles that strengthened her leadership skills and reinforced her commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Sonia was inspired to join The Karring Group after witnessing firsthand the compassion and dedication the team showed while coordinating care for a mutual client. Today, she is proud to work alongside professionals who share her commitment to advocacy, teamwork, and helping clients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Family is at the heart of Sonia’s life. She and her husband, Brandon, have been happily married since 2015 and are proud parents of two sons, both attending university, and a daughter who will soon begin her own college journey. Their family also includes their beloved fur baby, Tank. Together, they enjoy traveling, watching sports, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Cecilia Salcedo, LPN, is a dedicated and compassionate bilingual Nurse Case Manager with The Karring Group, fluent in both English and Spanish. With a strong foundation in patient care built over years of hands-on experience, Cecilia is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care while building trust and meaningful relationships with the clients and families she serves.

Before becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse, Cecilia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for eight years, where she developed a deep understanding of patient needs and the importance of empathy, patience, and attention to detail. Her nursing experience spans home care, a children’s hospital, and skilled nursing facilities, giving her the ability to adapt to a variety of healthcare settings while caring for patients across all stages of life.

As a bilingual Nurse Case Manager, Cecilia is passionate about advocating for her clients and helping them navigate their recovery with confidence. She takes pride in ensuring every client receives compassionate support, clear communication, and the resources they need to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Away from work, Cecilia enjoys spending time with her family, baking, gardening, and caring for her hobby farm. She is happily married, a proud mother to her teenage son, and shares her home with four energetic dogs who keep life fun and full of adventure. Cecilia values meaningful relationships, continuous growth, and bringing both professionalism and heart to everything she does.

Kayla Romanow is an Intake Specialist with The Karring Group who brings a strong background in patient care and a genuine passion for helping others. For the past five years, she has worked as a Medical Assistant, building valuable experience supporting both patients and healthcare providers. Currently pursuing her nursing degree, Kayla is committed to expanding her knowledge and continuing to grow within the healthcare profession.

As an Intake Specialist, Kayla is dedicated to creating a positive experience for every client from the very first interaction. She understands that compassion, communication, and attention to detail can make a meaningful difference during difficult times and takes pride in helping clients feel welcomed, supported, and cared for.

Whether she’s continuing her education or enjoying time away from the office, Kayla embraces every opportunity to learn and explore. She is a proud dog mom to Teddy, her lovable Miniature Dachshund/Yorkie mix, who keeps life fun and full of personality. Kayla also enjoys traveling to warm, sunny destinations, relaxing by the beach, and has a passion for high-performance cars, reflecting her appreciation for precision, confidence, and a little adventure.

Kristi Patton serves as an Administrative Assistant at The Karring Group, where she first joined the team as a student intern. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to supporting others quickly made her a valued member of the organization and led to her continued growth within the company.

Kristi earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Services Case Management from Davenport University. Her educational background, combined with hands-on experience at The Karring Group, has provided her with a strong foundation in communication, organization, and client support. In her role, she helps keep daily operations running smoothly while contributing to the high level of service and care the company provides.

Always eager to learn and grow, Kristi enjoys challenging herself both personally and professionally. She loves reading, working out, and spending quality time with family and friends. Teresa brought her extensive knowledge and skills from the Gynecology Oncology Department to The Karring Group. She holds the role of an Executive Assistant and is rapidly evolving into the Lead Internal Coordinator.

​Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Sanders is a dedicated mother of four. She has a profound love for her hometown, Detroit, and comes from a large, close-knit family. Theresa’s creative spirit finds expression in crafting beauty products, reflecting her passion for creativity.

Her aspiration at The Karring Group is to continually expand her knowledge and contribute to the growth of the business and its dynamic team.

Ian Conway serves as the Invoice & Editing Specialist at The Karring Group, where he combines a strong attention to detail with a background rooted in psychology and client advocacy. Originally from Lakeview, Michigan, Ian earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Central Michigan University in 2015 and now resides in Ferndale, Michigan.

Before joining The Karring Group, Ian worked with children with autism as an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist before transitioning into case management for children with developmental disabilities. Those experiences helped shape his thoughtful, analytical approach and reinforced the importance of organization, communication, and supporting others.

After beginning his career with The Karring Group as an Administrative Assistant, Ian advanced into the role of Invoice & Editing Specialist. In his current position, he helps ensure the accuracy and quality of documentation while supporting the team’s commitment to providing exceptional service and care to clients.

Curiosity and creativity are a big part of Ian’s life. He enjoys spending time with his two children and caring for the family’s dogs. Together, they love camping in national parks, where his children proudly collect Junior Ranger badges at every National Park and National Monument they visit. When he’s not exploring the outdoors, Ian enjoys playing guitar, producing hip-hop beats, exercising, and playing video games.

In 2012, Pam co-founded Angela Home Care, where she served as the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner until its closure in 2021 due to changes in the Auto No-Fault Law. She is an active member of Soroptimist International of Greater Macomb (SIGM), focusing on empowering women and combating human trafficking. Pam is a Michigan Notary Public, an Ordained Minister, and cherishes her daughter, Angela, her two Shih Tzus, Lexi and Logan, and a close-knit circle of friends.

​Her interests span a wide spectrum, including cooking, baking, hockey, travel, concerts, theatre, and bonfires. Pam is not just a skilled nurse but also a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, making her a valuable asset to The Karring Group.
